Polaroid PoGo- Frequently Asked Questions
Have you seen or heard about the latest in making printers portable? That would be the Polaroid PoGo.
This is a printer that works with your digital camera and can also work with your mobile phone.
People often respond with thoughts to the like of “cool” or “I have been waiting for someone to come up with this”. However, when the exact same people hear that this is a printer that does not use ink or that is inkless, they often stop and ponder that one fact. How can a printer be inkless?
That is a question I have heard more than one time in conjunction with the PoGo Portable Printer from Polaroid. People can not seem to grasp onto and accept the fact that there is indeed a new technology (called ZINK) that allows you to have a printer that in fact does not use ink at all.
Let us try to clear up some of the confusion for you. If the PoGo does not use ink to print your pictures, there is obviously less waste so that is a plus in itself. But what does it use to print the pictures then?
The technology is called ZINK Zero Ink inkless printing technology. But that is just the name. Let us take a look at what it is or what it does. ZINK paper uses cyan, magenta and yellow dye crystals which are embedded in the paper itself and protected with an outer polymer coating. Heat activates the crystals allowing for the paper to show all of the colors from the rainbow.
Therefore, it is not ink that you use with the Polaroid PoGo printer but rather heat. The pictures come out smear proof and waterproof with amazing clarity and tones. Get one today and see for yourself.
